Production Coordinator

Do you inspire confidence to work independently?  Then we’ve got a role for you. Upshot is looking for a Production Coordinator to help execute all client print deliverables. You’ll work with Account and Creative teams, partner agencies and vendors for print management and fulfillment. If you’ve got a year or two of production experience under your belt, or even an internship, read on.


  • Work with Account and Creative teams to identify project deliverables, unique element concepts and final element list with specs for sourcing
  • Support Project Manager with timelines, from planning through execution and determining job cycles and schedules
  • Develop and communicate the print production executional plan to the team in clear, concise and timely manner
  • Build element estimates for all project hard costs
  • Maintain communications with client’s sourcing agencies and facilitate print sample reviews
  • Monitor project deliverables and communicate element and spec changes with client and sourcing agencies
  • Review creative files, ensuring all art files meet print specifications
  • Maintain detailed project documentation
  • Build knowledge and understanding of current production techniques and technologies
  • Source resources (e.g., supplier samples, paper swatches, coating samples) to support creative
  • Be the execution expert for agency and client team—multi-tasking and flawlessly executing various projects across accounts on a day-to-day basis
  • Route color proofs through quality control
  • Attend and assist project kickoffs, internal reviews, brainstorms, hot sheet meetings and white sample reviews
  • Commit to continuous process improvement initiatives and ability to solve problems creatively
  • Onboard new team members


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-4 years of Print Production experience, including experience with POS materials, printing processes, and an understanding of graphic arts
  • Flexibility to work extra hours with little or no advance notification
  • Display perseverance in pursuing work with energy and drive, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks
